La musee d'Orsay

Sunday is always my museum/sightseeing/totally tourist day. Just this past Sunday I went to the Musee d'Orsay but I'll have to go back there tomorrow because I wasn't able to find a good painting to do my art and religion essay on. I'll probably go back tomorrow after school.

Yes Stacey I am very very VERY close to everything and all the big monuments ;-) I literally do live in the middle of Paris.... open up a paris map and I'm dead center. I totally lucked out because my other friends live more in the outskirts of Paris and the others don't even have internet. Yikes. Imagine if I didn't have internet and I wasn't able to write on this blog! OH NO!

To be exact (walking only) I am 15 minutes away from the Notre Dame (keep in mind I time myself where ever I go just to remind myself how lucky I am because it's always under 30 minutes. heh.) I am 25 minutes away from the Eiffel Tower. I am 30 minutes away from L'Arc de Triomph.... the walk up Champs Elysee to the Arc is quite long... 2 kilometers long.. and if I convert that correctly then that would make it about 1.25 miles long... who said math was hard?! come on! but................. it's just so much easier when you have a website that does metric conversions saved in your favorites folder. heh ;-) Hey, you need that here... I don't understand the french system of weighing things.. I accidently asked for 4.5 pounds of almonds once when I went to the market. 2 kilograms does not sound as heavy as 4.5 pounds! Those tricky tricky french. Good thing I love my almonds though :) Back to where I was....... I am only 10 minutes away from the Musee d'Orsay. I am 10 minutes away from the Jardin Luxembourg. I am 15 minutes away from the Louvre. AND.. I am 30 seconds away from the nearest Metro stop. ha. I can hear it coming right now actually.

Life is gooooood. So hows life in hawaii and seattle? bahaahahahahhahahahahah why do I even ASK?!

oh I'm kidding. Love you all, good night. I need to write my two religion essays now. 4 pages long each, I can't wait.

Yes I can. I'll go watch some french TV with monsieur and madame. Night night!

Allie,

Reading your blog makes me sick. =) You should bring monsieur and madame flowers daily, just to show your appreiciation of the prime location! I'm so jealous! I think the fact that you're so close to all of those wonderful sites would be the main reason for getting my exercise, and not those malnurished parisian models. =)
