Bonjour, today after school I decided it was about time that I go see the Arc de Triomphe. I regret walking. That was one LOOOOONG walk up Champs Elysee. My toes are sprained.. there was no way I was going to walk home from there. Good thing I brought my metro pass because I usually forget it :) I went by myself because everyone else starts class at 12 but I end class at 12 ( I start 10am)... I prefer having a morning class anyways, it gives me the rest of the day to sprain my toes and walk up long streets. WELL, since I went by myself I realized that I didn't have a picture taking buddy; more like my own personal camera man to take pictures of me... SO.. I asked a cute japanese lady if she could take a picture of me infront of the arc. I asked in french.. but perhaps she didn't know what I said..? She went all out in Japanese with me, I had no idea what she said... However, she started pointing at my Le Sport Sac Toki-doki (spelling?) bag and started to pet it. (????) I guess she loved my bag. She then took my picture infront of the Arc de Triomphe..... but then she wouldn't stop. I chose the wrong lady to ask. She kept on taking my picture in different angles (perhaps she's a photographer?). When she was finally done with my photo shoot I looked at the pictures she took and she did INDEED take a lot of pictures of me (8)... BUT... er... one had just my head.. another had part of my arm... the other my ear and left shoulder... WEIRD. At least she took two good ones, which are the ones i've posted. The other 6 pictures she took were just..... horrible. It was quite an experience though.. I was laughing on the metro by myside as I looked through the pictures. I had my iPod in pretty loud and I guess I laughed loud... why else would a dozen eyes all of a sudden look at me..? heh.
I had a funny day ;-) That's the first time I felt really stupid on the metro.. but what else was I supposed to do when I saw that the woman took a picture of part of the arc de triomphe with my left ear and left shoulder in the picture?! LAUGH RIGHT?! come on. If only I could have showed the guy sitting next to me the pictures to justify why I looked crazy laughing by myself. "look! look! I asked this japanese lady and look! the womans horrible at taking pictures! it's hilarious!" hmm.. I'd probably still look crazy.
I'm pretty tired today. I did a lot of walking yesterday and today. Yesterday I forgot to go to the Accent Agency to pick up my monthly metro pass.... and since it was March 1, I couldn't take the metro so I had to walk to the Agency.. took about 45 minutes. Not so bad...but then my umbrella turned inside out. Bad.

Ahhhh, Allie, we got cut off, so you can stop talking now 'cuz I'm no longer on the phone :) And I know how you feel about laughing out loud on the metro, 'cause here I am laughing out loud in my office as I read your blogpost. I bet if you pieced all the body parts that Japanese lady took of you, we would have a complete picture! :) Bonne nuit, Toots!
