Watch it SPARKLE!

Saturday night I went with my friends to see the Eiffel Tower sparkle :). It sparkles for five minutes on the hour. We stayed there for about two hours so we got to watch it sparkle twice! Once you see it sparkle though.. and then it stops.. the Eiffel Tower looks quite plain and dead after :(. We also road the merry-go-round which is right next to the Eiffel Tower, that was TOO much fun. The parents of the little kids just looked at us in disgust. heh.

Unfortunately, my camera ran out of battery at the Eiffel Tower so I'll post up more pictures once I get them from one of my friends.

Saturday DAY was very very very nice. I checked the weather forecast and it says it's supposed to be sunny clear skies until thursday! yay! I went to the Louvre again because I need to write a paper and do a small presentation on a religions art piece for my religion class. Today (sunday), I'm going to the Musee d'Orsay, literally down the street from my house, because I have to write a paper and do a small presentation on a painting there for my OTHER religion class. O la la. A few of the pictures are taken on my way to the Louvre, crossing the Seine. They were having some kind of model photoshoot.. the girls are absolutely beautiful! too skinny though.. their waists were about the same size of my left thigh. I tried to take a picture of them as they were posing but there were so many people gathered around the girls to watch that I couldn't get a good shot. Darn. Yeah.. but that's like any other ordinary day in paris... those models are walking around everywhere. I have this one favorite clothes store, ZARA, and there's this one worker there who looks like a model... you'll see all these girls staring at her because really, she shouldn't be working there, she should be modeling. Hmm.. perhaps she's too fat.. all that 100lbs of her 5 '8" frame is WAY to big. WAY. Well, I always seem to go in ZARA when she's having her lunch break. The girl eats carrots for her lunch. Just carrots. What the?! Ha, I should offer her some nice fat ranch dressing to go with her carrots... ha, she might faint at the sight.
I had breakfast this morning with Monsieur and Madame. Madame made some new jam, its MELON this time. SO GOOOOOOOOOOOD. ahhh. I found out that Monsieurs classically trained on the piano.. he's been playing since he was 6. WOW. He practices the piano about every other day, I can hear him from my room, and he's quite good... but he has arthritus in his hands so he said he can't play as well as he used to.. but he's still really good. They had a lunch party at their house Saturday afternoon.. they invited 11 of their friends over. It was very cute.. all these old french people chatting. Madame made a huge fish and some salad for everyone, looked absolutely delicious... I didn't get to try it though ;( Shucks.
I'll post more of the Eiffel Tower pictures once I get them. Aurevoir!
