Aurevoir Party at Lee's

Desserts, cheese, bread and meat galore!
HEY! Everyone be quite! Tuscan's got something to say.
Adrienne and Brit looking over old french homework to better improve their french... OR... writing notes to eachother saying where they want to shop tomorrow. :-) Kidding. We all had to fill out a Study Abroad valuation form.

Group picture of all the Hawaii kids: Left to right-- Tuscan, Matt, Me, Adrienne, Brit, Jay and Clint.

Here's Lee about to break Adrienne's neck under a blanket. Don't worry, he's a magician, he knows what he's doing ;-)
I know this looks horrible, but really... it was quite hilarious.
CRACK! It really sounded like he broke her neck or something.. and he was twisting it around like nothing!!
...........Wait! is that the back of her head or the front that he's holding up?!?! I'm confused!!...
.... oh good, thank god.. she's alright... ;-) We all love Lee and his magic tricks :-D

I love this picture :-D

Elizabeth, Matt and Tuscan having some intellectual talks.
I wonder if Lee and Adrienne planned to have the same facial expressions... and Brit just couldn't be happier about finishing all the cheese on her plate.

Last night at 7pm all the Hawaii kids met at Lee's appartment as a good-bye-paris-france party. It was a really great party where we all reflected about our own stays in Paris as well as the others and just enjoyed each other's company. The party lasted till 12:30am and no one wanted to leave because everyone can agree that these past 4 months in Paris have been nothing but amazing... and who wants to leave AMAZING?!?!?! ;-) There was no better way to end our studying abroad together than last night. We've all been extremely lucky to have been given this opportunity to come to Paris.... but what made the experience so grand was that everyone in the group got along really well. I personally couldn't have asked for a better homestay family, location, friends, professor, french class.. everything. Everything and everyone just complimented eachother so well that it's hard to be sad even though we're all leaving.
Thank you Mom and Dad for all of this :-)
Thank you Stace and Cec for making the blog site for me :-) It's been really great having this.
Now.. what would be funny is if I continued this even when I get back home. In that case....
You may all visit my new blog site. www . allieinhawaii. blogspot . com..... kidding ;-)
WELL, looks like this will be my last entry.
Aurevoir Paris!!
Bonjour Hawai!!
Bon Anniversaire Allie!!
and I'll be seeing you all back home........ ciao.

Strolling around Paris in the Rain

We wanted to visit the Musee Marmottan - Claude Monet, but it was unfortunately closed. ON MONDAY'S ONLY! WHAT CHANCE!!
I had to take a picture with Adrienne and her one piece of food left.
And then Adrienne took a picture of me devouring mine.

A view from the top of Galleries Lafayette, a very big shopping mall in Paris.

Picnic at the Tuileries

Jamie searching for some cherries to eat.
We had to picnic next to the BUTT of the statue.
"WOWZAHS!"

We went to a famous Chocolaterie after, Jean-Paul Hevin, and they had all these delicious macraoons ready for packaging. This chocolaterie has "mastered the fusion of chocolat and fromage. Sweet luscious chocolates with tart cheeses such as Camembert or Roquefort are infused to satisy both the cheese fan and the chocolate lover's sweet tooth." WELL, that sounds absolutely WEIRD.................... so I had to buy it :-)

Jamie, Clint and I walking around
Jamie and I with our chocolates infront of the Chocolaterie. They were DELICIOUS!

Funny Faces Forever

It was an absolutely beautiful and HOT day in Paris. We were dead tired from all the walking.
I feel really dumb right now.. because I don't know what this monument is. We walked by it... it looks so familiar.. concorde? Opera? Oh man. Oh geez. Apologies.

Another wedding dress for Stace :-D
Jamie and I had lunch in the Luxembourg Gardens after I was done with my Oral Exam (yikes) Jamie's rasberry tart that she let me taste... it made my day that much better.
We stumbled upon this nice church...
It felt so nice and cool when we entered.. not to mention quiet. We had literally found our sanctuary.

A picture of the church from the outside. I have yet to figure out the name of this church because we just happened to walk by it and decided to have a look-see.

I think I've found my equal in... messed up faces. :-D Jamie.
We decided to take a break from walking... and then we just went insane...
The fatigue started to take it's toll.
Well, this was the first picture we took together..Nice ... and then the following progressively became uglier. As you can tell.

Starbucks was the ONLY place that had COLD coffee drinks. Not to mention the place was air conditioned.
Clint and Jaewon looking over Sudoku I believe. :-D

I think from all the heat from walking around paris just got to our poor hawaiian brains.
Jamie looks like she recovered... I still felt a little querkie.
