La Fete du Pain

I tapped on the plastic tent and told him to smile :-) He was sweet.
They rolled the dough, baked the bread and everything inside this tent.
Then they would take the bread to the other tents to sell. My baguette was hot and fresh when I bought it.

The different flavored sirops that you could add to your milk.
The Milk Bar... and by the look on their faces, it's the happiest place on earth :-D

They were preparing the bread in this big tent.. then they would bring it hot, right out of the oven to the smaller tents outside and you could buy the bread there.
" HURRY UP AND GIVE US OUR SAMPLES!"

Like Adrienne said "she's everyone's best friend today," and that she was because she was giving out free samples.
Our different assortments of cheese plate. We had to pay 2 euros, but well worth it ;-)
SAY "CHEESE!!!!!!!!!!!!" WHILE HOLDING SOME CHEESE!!!!!!!!!!

I had to take a picture with him. He's got me "hypnose" :-)
Eating our FROMAGE with some PAIN. <<<>>>

The Bread. The Bread. The Wonderful Bread.

Today Adrienne, Jamie and I met infront of the Notre-Dame because there was a "Fete du Pain" going on from today until May 21st. It's a bread festival... in appreciation of... BREAD. Oh how I love the French. There were different tents set up.. some for bread, another for cheese, milk and sugar. They were giving free samples of some breads and there was this milk stand (actually called a milk bar) that was handing out free glasses of milk with your choice of sirop flavor added. I can't drink much milk anymore but I took a sip of Jamie's and it was absolutely AMAZING! The creamiest milk I've ever tasted! Of course it was WHOLE MILK but they added some sirop flavor to it.. I believe Jamie chose hazel nut. I was actually thinking about getting me a glass of milk with some coconut sirop added, and just drinking it in the bathroom stall. Hah.

I'm going back tomorrow with Adrienne and Brit. I'll probably be going everyday until May 21st. I've never had a baguette hot and right out of the oven before.. absolutely AMAZING!
