This past Sunday I met up with my friend Jamie (the blonde) at the Eiffel Tower because we wanted to go to a museum near to it. However, we couldn't get in free with out Sorbonne Art History Major cards because you need to be 18 or younger. Jamie didn't want to lie, especially because she had just turned 21 so for the first time she was very proud of her age. I on the other hand, was more than happy to say I was 16.. especially since I was wearing a little school girl skirt with sneakers.. I could have passed. So we left the Eiffel Tower to go to Sacre Coeur where we met up with Clint. You're not allowed to take pictures inside Sacre Coeur but I managed to sneak one in. From Sacre Couer, Clint and I went to Centre Pompidou because there's wireless internet connection all around the courtyard there. We had lunch (paninis) in the courtyard and then went to Adriennes dorm room. We were getting bored in the dorms so we decided to go to Champs Elysee. We walked up Champs Elysee to L'Arc de Triomph where they were having some sort of french military thing going on and then we walked back down Champs Elysee to Concorde, and then through the Tuileries to the Louvre. From there we split and we all went home... but I pretty much saw all the major monuments in Paris in one Sunday afternoon. :) Just about as much as my parents saw in their 9 days here. :)

Concorde with the Eiffel Tower in the background.

This handicapped man at Sacre Couer was making small dog key chains for two euros out of that fuzzy wire stuff. It was really neat to watch him make it, everyone was crowded around him... I wanted to take a picture.. he later yelled at me for doing so. I even got a snap shot of his face right before he scolded me. Geesh. I guess he thought I was going to steal his fuzzy-dog-keychain idea and make a fortune with it saying that I had thought of it first....... well, I wasn't.

One of the ways you can walk up to Sacre Coeur... up those long steps.

Adrienne and I in her dorm room.

L'Arc de Triomph with some kind of military event...?

Sacre couer is famous for it's view because it's at the highest point in Paris... but.. with all the pollution and all, you can't even see much of the view to begin with. It's probably nicer at night. Which reminds me that I had actually been to the Sacre Couer before when I went to France with my highschool my senior year. I didn't remember it because we had gone at night so it looked different.. but I just remembered now :) Wow, great :)
