Fake Birthday Party

Our teeny tiny shelter from the pouring rain....
We were absolutely soaked...

We went to Jamie's homestay place and had our small party there instead.

Today started off as a really nice and sunny morning and Clint, Jamie, Fernando and I met up at the Eiffel Tower to celebrate Fernando's FAKE birthday. Funny boy. We were all eating at a Chinese restaurant yesterday and out of the blue he said "it's my birthday tomorrow!... well no it's not, but lets have a birthday party for me. I'll bring the cake. Allie, you bring some apple sauce (very popular in france) and Clint, you bring some bread." ha. So we celebrated his birthday 3 months early because his real birthday is in August. We met at the Eiffel Tower and as soon as we got there the sun went away, the wind started blowing sooo hard, the clouds came and with it, THE RAIN. It poured so hard and we were stuck right in the middle of it. It was absolutely cold.. but funny. I had to take some pictures of us all drenched. Jamie was wearing a white dress and slippers... not the best for a rainy day. We took shelter infront of a small shop and after a few minutes we decided to make a run for the metro. We were drenched as it was already so we didn't care so we just started to walk in the rain....... AND as soon as we left the Eiffel Tower, the sun came out... and it was absolutely beautiful for the rest of the day. It only poured rain for 10 minutes. We just had some really bad timing. Had we met at 2:10 instead of at 2:00 there would have been no problems. Jamie said we could continue our fake birthday party at her place... so that's where I took the rest of the pictures. ;-) When I woke up this morning I didn't see all of this coming: Running in the rain and having a fake birthday party.
