My new french outfits :)

Bonjour, sorry I haven't posted anything in a while. I haven't been taking much pictures... :-( you honestly just get caught up with walking.. and looking at everything that you forget you have a camera. I never really went anywhere the past few days.. I stayed around my area (great shopping!) so the only pictures I have of france are of..... well, me! :) and my lunch. I love taking pictures of the food here.. looks soooo good and tastes so good too!

The red coat is the one Mer-Mer let be borrow. Today was the first day I wore it because before I felt so LOOK AT ME and I didn't want to bring any attention to myself. BUT NOW.. that has all changed.. the french girls (and old women) look me up and down so I've decided to LET LOOSE.. give those parisian models a little something to look at ;-) .. even though today is a Sunday and no one is out walking about because everythings closed besides the churches. So even though I decided to wear my red coat the day no one can see it, I feel good about myself :) I went to Notre Dame's gregorian mass today, very interesting. The organ in there is MASSIVE! Thanks Mer for the red coat, kept me very warm during mass.

The black and white semi-checkered coat I bought that yesterday at ZARA, a popular clothing store for both the old and young. ZARA and H & M here are very popular... cheaper cute clothes.

The first two pictures are of my lunch today (BEFORE AND AFTER, I was very hungy). I would have eaten everything but there was too much cheese.. and seeing as how I don't handle dairy products well.. I have to be careful :) I've already used the bathroom twice from the cheese in the sandwich.

Alors, c'est dimanche aujourd'hui et il n'y a pas beaucoup de faire...

I have to write a three page paper on the gregorian mass I went to this morning so I better get to it. There's no printer here so I have to go to the Accent Agency and print it there (that's a bum to do all the time). Ce la vie. Then I think I'll paint my nails :) That always makes a girl happy! Tonight Madame Courreges invited me to dinner so I'll be eating with them tonight along with one of their grandchilden out of the 13 that they have, Claire (she is so sweet), and Ana who is another study abroad student.. but she's fluent in french, she's getting her doctorate. I actually think the Courreges own two appartments here because Claire lives a floor up, and so does Ana but they come down here when they want (claire comes down here to study because it's warmer here). Madame said that she always has a student abroad every year because she needs help upkeeping the place because it's so big for her... so here i was thinking, "CRAP! she's hinting to me to help clean! i'm so ungrateful! I've just been staying in my room and going out!" but she said Ana helps her with that... and cleans the floor above us.. perhaps that's Ana's way of paying rent also? I'm quite confused.. so now I don't know whether or not I should be scrubbing the toilets or going out with my friends. I'm scared. I want to be on Madame's good side.

I'll go buy her flowers tomorrow.
yes, that sounds good.

Okay, I have been picking at my lunch some more while I've been typing. There is now no bread left on the plate.. only cheese. heh.

Till next time!!! aurevoir ma famille!

Bonjour, Allie-baba! Glad you did a new post...loved the pictures as well :) How was the Gregorian Mass? Would love to see it when we visit. Dad and I had fun seeing and hearing you via skype --absolutely amazing! And to think it's FREE! You look wonderful...glad we can't smell you, though, must be getting a little frenchy, eh? hahaha...and helping Mme Courreges w/toilet-bathroom chores would make you more Cinderella-esque :)
Keep bloggin, hon!
love, mom.

That's so cool that you got to see a Gregorian Mass at Notre Dame! Flat Stanley will be on his way in a few days!
