Bonjour:) The first picture is just a better picture than the one I had posted previously (my friends digital camera can take flash shots further than 5 feet like mine ;-) ) So now you can see everyone's faces :) THe second picture is of my professor, Lee Siegel, From the UH who has been teaching abroad in Paris for the past three years. Unfortunately, this is the last year he can do this agains. Next to him is his neurologist wife. I hope I spelt that correctly. The third picture was taken this afternoon infront of the Notre Dame. TOday was my first class/lecture/tour with Prog. Sievel for the religion class I am taking. I am taking TWO religion classes from him : Love Sex and Religion & Religion and Art. He is also offering a creative writing class but.. no thankgs. It doesn't sound as fun ;-) So... he gave us a tour around the Notre Dame, told us a lot about it althought I barely remember anything because today was extremely cold. As you can see my jacket (which I bought yesterday for only 10 Euros) is pretty light so I was freezing. Nonetheless, I love Notre Dame. We then went into a little cafe called Ezmarelda (spelling?) after... isn't that GREAT?! I was just waiting for the bells to go off and perhaps catch a glimps of a deformed hunch back man jumping around from bell to bell... and then perhaps everyone would break out into song..? Too much to ask for....? shucks.
Now, going back into time.. I decided to take a picture of my lunch today. I went to Monoprix (a super market) and bought a baguette, ham, cheese and creme brulee and halfed it all with my friend. OH yes, and I also bought some apples bananas and cereal as snacks incase I get hungry... they're outside of my window right now "refrigerating". The last picture is me attempting to kiss the Eiffel Tower when we had taken the boat tour down the Seine River. I'm Asian, I don't have big lips.. so you can't even tell I'm trying to kiss it. Looks like I'm trying to spit. Gross. Well, today was a bit colder so I went home earlier. It's about 6:00 pm right now and I believe everyone is metting up at Obercaumpf later tonight which is only a few metro stops or so away from my house. It's supposed to be quite the popular area.. I don't really feel up for staying out late tonight so I will probably go home early. I like my full 9 hours of sleep ;-)
I've got the metro down pat! I'm so proud of myself! I went to the super market today and bought food! I'm so proud of myself! It's been a very proud day for me. Oh yes, I also found my glove. I had lost my coach leather glove in the metro three days ago and apparently a good french citizen returned it to the information desk. I went back to see if it was there, doubting it would be.. but VOILA, they had it!
A proud day indeed :)
