j'ai arrive a paris!!! ici ma chambre

Bonjour tout le monde! Ici ma chambre :)
Hello everyone! This is my room :) I also have my own bathroom to the right. Perhaps I'll take a picture of it some other time. However, the french usually have seperate rooms for the bathroom and the shower so I share the bathroom with my host family. I live with the Courreges. They are a cute retired elderly couple who have been housing students for a few years now I think. They are very cute and very nice. They also speak a little english but I try to speak french as much as possible. This is my first night here and they invited me to dinner with them. Madame Courreges made cooked ham(jambon) with a sweet sauce, soup, of course there was bread (du pain) avec du fromage, some wine (du vin) and for dessert we had a banana flambe and they also opened up the boxes of Big Island Candies cookies/chocolates I gave them. They have six kids and I believe 8 or so grand children. One of their sons had dinner with us so it was the four of us around the dinner table.
Before the taxi came to pick me up to take me to my host family some of the other UH students and I walked around. I ordered a cafe noir at a cafe... I thought I was ordering just a plain black coffee but i forgot that cafe noir is actually just espresso in french. SOOO... this was great, the first french thing I do... i do wrong. Ha. HEY, but after I went to a patisserie and ordered a croissant. :) I am proud :)
Well, i should be sleeping right now. I have to meet back at the Accent Agency at 10pm. They gave me directions how to get there by metro. If i follow them correctly it should only take me 30-45 minutes max or so.. but... I think I'll be leaving 2 hours before :) They gave me my monthly metro pass so i can go wherever i want right now! yes. So.. the agenda for tomorrow is to meet with everyone at the Accent Agency, then they give us a tour down the Seine and around Paris, then at 7pm my professor is having a welcome party at his apartment.
Sounds exciting. I'm already lost. That's okay. All is well :)
I hope all is well with you guys too.
I'll be sure to post up more pictures tomorrow when i can.
Bon nuit.
