Flat Stanley at Le Jardin Luxembourg
Here is Flat Stanley in Le Jardin Luxembourg. This is the garden that I walk through everyday on my way to school. Ain't it beautiful?! I love walking to school everyday because it's a really nice walk and the garden is pretty darn big. It was a bit cold today with some rain and strong winds, and being that Flat Stanley is.. well.. flat (however rain resistant!), it was a little hard to keep him up straight. He was getting frustrated himself... but I told him to COOOL his jets, and then everything was fine :)
Cec, I will be mailing Flat Stanley off to China in a day or two. You said to take him around for about a week right? ... you sure not two weeks..? We're having a lot of fun ;-) heh. I kid. I've grown quite attached.
Bonne journee!

Day Trip to Versailles
In the courtyard of Versailles with Jamie, Adrienne and Britney. Flat Stanley was using the bathroom :) And yes Meredith, all those Petit Prince key chains are for you. I might go back and get myself some too. Aren't they adorable?! I found this place only 15 minutes or so away from my house. They had some Petit Prince watches also.. BUT.. they were about 65 Euros. I.. er.. no. That's over two months worth of food. :) Bonne Journee tout le monde!
My Daily French Breakfast
Flat Stanley in Paris
Alright, so let me just say that when Flat Stanley arrived in Paris.. he was one handsome looking local kid.. all decked out in his hawaiian board shorts and surfer top. You don't see that often in Paris ;-) I guess the girls liked his style.. thought he was a fine lookin' young man and he pretty much hung around those three girls on the train while we were going to Versailles.
Unfortunately, it wasn't a nice day at Versailles. Il fait gris. It was gray and raining. The garden was pretty much dead since nothing was in bloom and it was raining outside so we didn't really take a look at the gardens. :( sorry. The Hall of Mirrors was also under construction so... you pretty much only saw 6 mirrors or so. That sucked. about 3/4's of it was under construction.
I'll be coming back with my parents, taking the same tour, for the third time... ha... so I figured the garden will look MUCH better than, in late April, and the hall of mirrors MIGHT be ready by then. They said by May... so I'm crossing my fingers.
So here are some pictures of flat stanley at Versailles, Notre Dame, la Fontaine de St. Michel, AND... the best one of all... EATING BREAKFAST WITH ME!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's my daily breakfast: bread, butter, jam (home made marmalade, SO GOOD), and AWESOME coffee. Something about the coffee here is soooo good. It's really strong, I like it ;)
ENJOY!

My Thank You Tulips
Bonjour,
Well, the beginning of this week wasn't all that great for me. It was horrible actually. I got pretty sick (food poisoning or flu) but I couldn't keep anything that I was eating down for a couple days. I didn't go to school and I told Madame and Monsieur. They were both SOOO sweet to me.. well, as sweet as they could be.. I would have loved someone to massage my back.. rubb my tummy, tell me that everything will be okay... yeah, I wanted my mommy... but Madame and Monsieur did their best :) They gave me medecine, some potatoes and bread to eat, and a hot pack to put on my stomache before I went to bed. Monsieur gave me his (i'm blanking on the word) white tablet pills you put in water and watch it sizzle.... helps digestion. After taking about 2 I then realized they had expired about 7 years ago. ahhhhahahahahaha. Thank heavens I didn't get more sick though. It actually helped. Although, I went out and bought my own pack from the pharmacie. heh.
So those are some pictures of my potatoes, and the hot pack that they let me use ;-) Thought you folks might want to see. heh.
As a THANK YOU VERY MUCH for everything they've done for me... taking care of me when I was sick and always inviting me to dinner, I went out and bought them a bouquet of red and pink tulips. Madame was SOOOO HAPPY. She's the cutest. Monsieur was very pleased too. Right after I had given Madame the flowers she instantly invited me to dinner. YES! So I dined with them. Diner was great, as always.. nothing beats a home cooked meal after walking all day. Not to mention I swear my toes are sprained... I need to get used to all this walking in boots. Madame made vegetable soup, salad, brocolli and crab quiche, apple pie... and of course there was cheese and bread. IT WAS GOOOOOOOOOOD. Nothing beats dad's quiche but dad, she's goooood. ;-)
Well, tomorrow I'm going to Versailles. Flat Stanley and I will have a wonderful time and I will definately post pictures later.
Aurevoir!
